UNDERFOOT COMFORT

July 2016 | 4 weeks

In preparation for Lacoste’s SS18 design season, new projects were set to explore and develop new ways of using modern materials and technologies. Textile development, resin experiments and 3D printing case studies were all analysed and investigated. The key insights from these were then applied to a concept for underfoot comfort. I took this research and created a concept for a new tooling, using multi-injection expanded foam which would allow for various areas of structure and comfort in one sole unit. This would also create a visually striking silhouette that followed the Lacoste VDL and brand codes.

In collaboration with Elliot MacDonald.
